  34. This question is not about Kermit at all.  The problem you have is that 
  35. the SCO Console does not have a Status Line.  So there is no escape
  36. sequence
  37. that use you can to make one.  If you want to only clear part of the
  38. screen
  39. (in order to preserve the bottom line of the screen) you will have to
  40. use
  41. a combination of moving the cursor to a position, and then clearing to
  42. the 
  43. top of the screen from that position.
